juliannabrion:

A piece for the New Yorker on the new english translation of Alain Robbe-Grillet’s final work, A Sentimental Novel.  Robbe-Grillet worked on one of my very favorite films of-all-time, L’Année dernière à Marienbad, so this was a interesting one for me.

Sub Pop Records asked me to paint a reinterpretation of the Flake Music’s (The Shins) album “When You Land Here, It’s Time To Return” for a re-release. Here’s the original along with it. I’ve done a dozen or so album covers over the years but this is my first for a legitimate record label and one I’ve been a fan of for the majority of my life. And to have a hand in anything James Mercer is involved with is a huge honor. Very excited to be a part of this. Thank you Jeff Kleinsmith and Mr. Mercer for the great project! More info can be found here.
